Duties and Responsibilties
The county administrator is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to carry out policies approved by the board, oversee the day-to-day management of the county government and ensure business activities by the county are conducted in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Board of Supervisors.
This office is responsible for the preparation of the budget and monitoring spending; hiring and supervising department heads, ensuring compliance with laws, rules and policies; drafting and enforcing ordinances, representing the county at various functions and on issues, and assisting the citizenry in county issues. The office provides staff support and policy advice to the Board of Supervisors and prepares board meeting agendas.
